VIBA "Jane" Monkey

VIBA "Jane" Monkey

One of the most iconic motorcycles ever created ā€œHonda Monkeyā€ got a redesign for 2019 with the name ā€œJaneā€. The team at Viba did an incredible job to make the bike feel as fresh as possible but without losing its classic vibe. The bike features the first ever 3D printed fuel tank in a motorcycle.

Description

This amazing creation is made possible thanks to the technology of SLM Solutions, project partner and leader in additive 3D printing. SLM Solutions and VIBA's designers have joined their know-how to combine design and technology. Thus the tank features an elegant surface finish and a reduction of fuel movement inside.

In addition to the weight improvements, the enormous advantage of this process is that it can create parts that can not be manufactured in a conventional way, such as the front mudguard incorporating a voronoĆÆ structure where the lenticular lighthouse is located, or the brake and clutch levers incorporating turn signals.

Also, it features a front rack that hosts a shopping bag while representing the spirit of Jane: practical, aesthetic, technical and fun, without a hitch.Ā The front rack is printed in 1.5mm thick aluminum. In the same spirit, the saddle is dressed in an anthracite gray linen, highlighted by a strap in the orange hue trend.

Built with a simple goal in mind "Making everyday life easier with elegance"
